The property located at 908 Alamo Street in Las Cruces, NM, on which Dale lived during his adolescent and teen years from about 1955 until he left for college in the fall of 1960. Initially his family lived in a mobile home on the back of the property while his father was building the auditorium pictured immediately beyond the house and later building the house in the photo. It was a place of beginnings that later led to a life of ministry and a life of diverse occupational endeavors.
This website is the product of over 60 years of ministry as a pastor, evangelist, worship leader, musician and singer. It reveals a life spent not only in ecclesiastical pursuits but also simultaneously in various secular professions and occupations. These secular occupations made possible continuing in ministry.
Throughout his life, Dale Franks lived through multiple professions and occupations. Depending on the season of his life, he lived as a guest in a pastor's home or in his own travel trailer while traveling through various states, provinces and cities. While serving as an associate pastor, he built several church buildings as a construction manager or general contractor. He qualified as a general contractor's license in both New Mexico and California.
The Northern California - Nevada District of the Assemblies of God approved Dale's application to begin a new church in Reno, Nevada. During his time there, he worked as a computer sales person, then as a workers compensation administrator for self insured businesses and represented those businesses in hearings regarding contested claims. While working for a different employer later in Reno, he administered health care claims. It was always his goal to be self supporting to enable him to continue in ministry.
