Ministry

After his graduation from high school and completing his first semester at what was then Southwestern Bible Institute (now Nelson University), Dale received his first ministerial credentials in January, 1961, receiving what then was known as an Exhorters license from the New Mexico District of the Assemblies of God. He continued his education at Southwestern through the spring semester of 1963. During that summer, he married Mary Davidson. She was an invaluable asset to his ministry. They became an evangelistic and music ministry team serving briefly as associate pastors in Houston, Texas, then traveling as evangelists.

Dale was ordained on April 6, 1966, at the New Mexico District Council of the Assemblies of God and continued primarily in evangelistic ministry except for brief periods as an associate pastor / music director in Farmington, New Mexico, and later in Texarkana, Arkansas. In Farmington, he directed the church's choir, directed and arranged their music.  In Texarkana, he formed a youth choir and also directed and arranged their music.  In both churches, he shared pulpit duties with the senior pastor, normally preaching each Sunday evening.

This web site contains sermon notes from messages he preached during both his ministry as an evangelistic and a pastor. There is also a (non-exhaustive) list of churches, cities and states / provinces where he delivered sermons during his ministry career.
